Environmental Choice New Zealand

Introduction.

The technical specifications which products must meet to be licensed to use the Environmental Choice label are the foundation of the programme. Environmental Choice welcomes expressions of interest for the development of new product specifications, as new recommendations are vital to the continuing efficiency of the programme. It is also vital that Environmental Choice be able to constantly develop new (and update current) technical specifications.

The opportunity exists for Environmental Choice, as a member of the Global Ecolabelling Network, to further streamline specification development. This could be achieved using existing international standards as a basis for Environmental Choice specifications and working jointly with other GEN members to develop new specifications.
